EXS24 INSTRUMENTS & SAMPLES (now also Garageband compatible)

About the samples

My first experience of sampling was when a jews harp boing sound I played for an Ambrosia Rice Pudding commercial turned up as the opening rhythm on a hit single for S Express.

S’Express

The engineer for my commercial session was Pascal Gabriel who later told me he had sampled it from my multitrack and used it on the record. Since then I started sampling every useful sound on my own productions and built up a vast library of AKAI samples that I preferred over the commercially available samples. For the first time I am making these generally available and hope to raise some money for charity in the process.

SAMPLE AID - Samples for Charity

These are available on CD, either as the complete set or individually (Set 1 and Human Saxophone). Some cut down demo versions are available to download. These are fully functioning EXS24 and Garageband instruments with a smaller range than the full versions. Please note that some of the Logic versions have extra features (modwheel crossfades etc.) that are not possible on Garageband. Please support Sample Aid - all revenue goes to charity - and read the EULA at the bottom of the page

  1. You agree not to sell, lend, hire or give these to anyone else. All the money goes to charity so it is not very nice to break this agreement. If you have been given this instrument by someone else please pay the (very small) donation fee.
  2. You may use these instruments and samples freely in your music. If you use the samples on a commercial recording, please credit me as the author of the samples and /or link to my site if you are in a position to do so. Please also let me know if you have used the instrument on any commercial releases so I can list it on my site. Thank You
