Diggin in the Dirt
A quite lo-fi effect was needed here. I distorted the vocal track using Logic’s distortion plugin. This was after a lot of tril and error overloading mic amps etc. It did the trick and it gave me control over the effect which would not have been the case if I had recorded it like that. The handclap sound is in fact two frozen trout being knocked together. I had them for me tea later. This features the amazing Elfolk acoustic guitar with built in amp and tremelo. The bass drum is from my famous ambient Gretsch EXS kit, but played on a much lower pitch.
