CAFE SAXOPHONE DISCUSSION FORUM

The Breakfast Room (Now CAFESAXOPHONE) started due to the large number of emails asking advice about saxophones and saxophone playing. It occurred to me that my answers to individual emails might be useful for more than just that one person. I also realised that other people’s opinion would be useful as well as mine, often there are several valid opinions. As it developed, the forum has become very busy and has turned into a very active online saxophone discussion forum with beginners and experts discussing saxophone and non saxophone related issues.

I always expected to learn from this forum as well as teach - I have always learnt from students when giving sax lessons so I am glad that Cafe Saxophone has turned into a forum that I can learn from as well as answer questions. I had intended it to involve music technology and composition. Although these elements are represented, it does appear to have become more of a saxophone oriented forum now and I have recently started the Media Music Forum to discuss composing etc.

Along with the forum I have now started an area where saxophone players and enthusiasts can contribute: Saxophone Champions. Anyone with a pasion for saxophones can become a Champion, you just need to have something to say and contribute a page to the site. It can be a lesson, a rant or even some marketing text for your sax related products. You don't need to be a professional saxophonist, I'm just as happy to include articles fromm enthusiastic amateurs, technicians or manufacturers.

If you have any questions about saxophones, reeds, mouthpieces, learning, this is the best place to ask - I am often unable to answer individual emails but on any saxophone discussion forum you will get a lot of very expert opinions. I try to answer all questions on the CafeSaxophone forum that I feel qualified to answer.
