CONN SOPRANINO

Description

Conn Sopranino

This is a Conn sopranino from about 1924. The silver plate is in fantastic condition for the year, with some wear as you would expect around the thumb ring and around the edge of the bell which you can see in the pictures. The horn was overhauled and one or two soldered tone holes repaired when I bought this two years ago, and subsequently serviced and checked by top UK woodwind repairer Steve Howard. The action and sealing of the keycups is superb. All the action is tight, and smooth as you would expect after leaving Steve Howard's workshop. This does not have rolled tone holes. It comes with the original case witch is in poor shape (it will be shipped separately in a box that allows more padding). The mouthpiece is a Selmer S80 F with no ligature and cover. No price has been set, contact me and make an offer.

Apart from the wear mentioned. the silver is all there, slightly scratched and pitted right at the very top near the cork, but otherwise excellent.

There is one (maybe two) resoldered toneholes, all the others are original and sound:
