Following mutual and amicable discussions, and an apology from the University, Mr Thomas has accepted that apology and settled his Grievance but has decided to return to his work as a composer full-time from 19 March 2004."

Pete Thomas worked part time as a lecturer in composition in the Music department at Southampton University from 1999 - 2004. During that time he was responsible for designing the studios, coordination of the music technology and studio course as well as teaching jazz theory and commercial composition courses. Following a dispute regarding prima facie defamatory statements about Mr Thomas, Southampton University made a settlement and issued the above apology
